I know a sure did (do...)
I would agree with that statement. I think a lot of movies and such romanticize very long hair, and it's rare enough to feel special and individualistic. That's probably why I've kept my waist-length curls. I think there's a part of every girl that wants long, gorgeous hair that can blow like that of a Disney princess.
Of course, while they might be able to get long, flowing hair, the "trouble-less" part will never happen... unless they want their hair to turn into one big knot. XD
I like curly hair x]
Reminds me of my old bad story (seriously, it was like the mutated offspring of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and various fantasy videogames I've played *shudder*) and the Mary Sues who inhabited it. Again, I feel the same way about it, it was the thing which proved I could FINISH something. The story was 152 Word pages long...the number is forever imprinted into my mind...
Ha ha, how old were you when you wrote it?
One hundred fifty-two pages is a lot! Amirra's story proved the same thing to me. Her story was a lot like LOTR, too. What a coincidence!
And I'm not even mentioning my horrible fanfiction thing based around the character of 'Louise' who could control water and shapeshift into anything, grew up in the wild, fixed up an abandoned barge and lived alone on it with her many pets *shudder* The HORROR!
