Baking (A Crossover Fanfic)Dusk crept up the sky with the rising moon, slowly enveloping the humid air. Leo climbed out of the car and looked up to see if any stars were out yet. No. Good. He hated working this late, especially on the day after Christmas, when he was supposed to be spending time with Sean. But the emergency had brought him in early and kept him in late, and he had no control over that. He just hoped that Sean wouldn't be too upset.
Leo locked his car and walked to the front door. He paused for a moment to rub his eyes. He should have gotten more sleep last night. The movie with Sean had gone too late, and then the phone call had woken him up early... He sighed for a moment, trying to regain his energy and composure. He was tired, but he didn't want to be grumpy. Sean had probably missed him. Leo unlocked the door and pulled it open.
"Holy—!" He jumped back and nearly fell off the front step. "SEAN! What is that?"
The strange thing on the rug turned and looked up at

DNAZaen stared at the floor next to his bed with a frown. He could do this. All right, he had failed last time. That was in the morning, though, and mornings seemed to be worse for him. Besides, his stomach ached from hunger pangs, and Dark had left the house, so he had no other recourse but to try this again.
Zaen glared determinedly at the floor for a moment. Then he swung his legs off the edge of the bed and stood up. He was victorious! ...Wasn't he? Blobs of color swarmed in front of his vision, blocking out most of the world around him. His head suddenly felt lighter than air. He took a cautious step forwards, floundering in the world of colors and heat, and finally collapsed.
Zaen rolled over to lie on his back, watching the colors wash out of his vision. There. The ceiling looked normal now. That was a perfect failure. He pulled his shirt up to uncover his stomach, hoping that would help him cool down. Well, at least he had tried. Maybe he had just stood up too quickly. His lungs c

Valentine's DaySchool didn't start for another hour, so Dark offered to take Rose on a walk. They strolled through the streets and down to the park by the river. As they walked, Dark noticed a boy carrying flowers, and he realized that this was the third one he had seen today.
"What's up with all the flowers?" he asked.
"Flowers?"
Dark gestured at the boy. "Yeah, a bunch of people got flowers."
"Oh." Rose laughed. "It's Valentine's Day. Today a lot of guys give flowers to girls. Friends sometimes give each other flowers too—at least, you see it all the time at school."
"Oh." Dark paused. "Does anyone ever give you flowers?"
Rose laughed. "Oh, no! I don't have a boyfriend, and none of my friends at school would buy me any. They don't know me very well."
"That must stink."
"No, I'm not the only one who doesn't get flowers," she said with a shrug. Her gaze turned to an old couple walking down by the river. They were holding hands.

Sketch of a RomanceThey first met at a school book fair. She was volunteering behind the counter. He was taking his little brother and sister to pick out books. There was something adorable about the way he bent down to talk to his sister and told her about all the exciting books, and when he started a conversation with her and asked for her number of course she wrote it down for him.
They took walks together through the little park on Aspen Street and bought milkshakes at the ice cream store--chocolate for her, while he tried some new and crazy mix of flavors. The Christmas Book was adorable. Reminds me of the book I made for my reading buddy, she drew me a picture of me and her together in return. I miss her.

I liked Fred and Bruk's page, Fred is funny. XD And of course 'Teddy-bear' fearing the worst from Santa.
